Let the hate motivate you

“When others say you can't, do it twice and take pictures”

This is the quote that I came across the other day and it really got me thinking.

It reminded me of all the times I was told I couldn’t do something because I am a sex worker. I remember being told that I wouldn’t be worthy of love and that I am “just another stupid hoe”. It also got me thinking about the “what ifs”. What if I had listened? What if I stopped and went back to my barista job? What if I didn’t prove them wrong?

I used their hate to motivate me. This is something I like to stress to other creators. The burning desire to prove everyone that doubted me wrong was so strong. I was so proud of getting my first home all by myself at 19, and rightfully I should be! That's a huge deal! I didn’t get a hand down from my parents, I worked hard for it. If you read the other blogs you will know about the car that I bought. That was a big deal for me being able to buy my own first car outright. 

My proudest achievements - and my biggest fuck you to all the haters - are my business and husband. That’s right, this “stupid hoe” is a married business woman! My business is reaching its third birthday and is continuing to grow. My husband and I are approaching our first wedding anniversary. We spent our honeymoon on a trip of a lifetime in Thailand and are settled in our first home together with our dogs. 

I am truly happy and feel so proud of everything I have overcome and achieved but I still use hate to motivate me even further. I’m not done and I am always giving myself new goals. Not to mention that the hate boosts my algorithm which in turn boosts my income. I always use it to my advantage. That doesn’t mean it’s not emotionally and mentally hard at times. I have learnt to be strong and grow a thick skin over the years and also found fun in replying with my sarcastic comments. Most people who perpetrate hate will most likely never achieve the type of success you're aiming for. They aree usually too consumed with hate to do great things. 

Don’t lose sleep over the opinions of sheep, make money from them - and like the quote said - do it twice and take pictures!
